Yes. We have in the past and would again. If you have a Guinea Pig that Needs a new home, contact us.

We have given homes to, or found homes for, Guinea Pigs (an other animals including all the way up to horses) that kids no longer wanted, people were moving and could not take the GP with them, a Solider deployed and had to ship out, someone that would rather give the GP to someone with experience than sell it to the General Public.

Most often people are looking for someone to take in one or two pet Guinea Pigs. Sometimes a person has a couple/two.

If someone had a Herd of GPs we would certainly try to take them in. We might need a little time to set up cages, or we could take them right away, but would need to keep them in smaller cages until they found a home or we had a larger, better cage for them. We always make sure the Guinea Pigs health and Safety is taken care of.

We would make sure these animal went to caring homes.

Any new animal that comes into our care, goes into Quarantine for a minimum of two weeks. They are set up away from our existing animals of the same species, fed and watered and cleaned last. They are usually not given much in the way of any new foods, but are given small portions of veggies, fruits, and treats. So setting up for a large number of animals coming here all at once, may take us a couple of days.

I had to laughs a bit when I wrote this title. What have we done in the past? Kept the GP (other animals) for our own pets, loved them, and some we even had them Model Clothing, or gave them their own Clothing to sleep within. Most we trained, which is great bonding time.

I have trained some, that others would call Rescues. And sometimes, I have just held them in my lap as often as I could. One way or another, they all get a good home.

Once you have made the call to us to take in your animals. Once we have spent the time setting up for the animal. Once we have the animal in our hands. There are no, "Give Backs".

I had a... this is a long story, and I am not going to tell it in full, but I had a lady give me a bird, she came to see it 3 times. Tears and long stays each time. Finally her husband asked for the bird back. I gave it to her only to have her call a week later would I take the bird back. I flat out told her, I will take the bird, but there will be no visits or phone calls or dropping by.

I learned right away. The cord must be cut when an animal is surrendered.

Can you visit your GP here at our place once you give it to us? No. This creates all sorts of problems. I know. I know. You just want to visit for a minute.

I used to allow this and found it only leaves to ruin. It is really not a good idea for the previous owners, the animals or us.

Mostly it is confusing for the animals. But I have found too, that it is harder for people to say Good Bye to their pet for a second or third time.

It also disrupts our schedule here. We do not always have time for people to come by and visit. People will say, I will only stay for a minute, and then two hours go by and they are still not ready to leave.

Once we take in the animal it is gone from the previous owner's world.
